# Navigating Weight Loss During a Holiday: My 100-Day Journey

Chapter 1: Week 2 of My Weight Loss Challenge

As I write this, I find myself enjoying a holiday on one of my favorite islands—Ibiza. Many people perceive this place as solely a party hub, but I’ve come to realize the importance of relaxation. Since I haven’t been documenting my journey as frequently, I’d like to share some insights from my second week.

During this week, I saw a notable decrease in my weight, dropping to 125.2 kg. My goal has been to lose between half a kilogram to one kilogram weekly. I suspect my weight could have been even lower had I not indulged late the previous night.

Understanding Energy Management

Week 2 revolved around managing my energy levels, especially as I mentally prepared for a more active third week. I had a jam-packed schedule filled with capoeira training sessions, only managing to hit the gym once on Monday. However, I ended up engaging in significantly more physical activity than the week prior.

Throughout this week, I gleaned valuable lessons about weight loss, largely from observing others' experiences.

Dealing with Emotional Eating

One evening, after receiving troubling news, I felt an urge to eat. I’ve recognized that I tend to eat more when I’m emotional. That night, I made a conscious choice to allow myself to eat, but to do so mindfully, and it was liberating. No guilt followed. I encourage you, dear reader, to reflect on how you handle similar situations. Once I became aware of this pattern, I learned to permit myself to indulge while staying mindful not to overdo it.

Section 1.1: Week 3 Begins

As I embark on the third week of my holiday, I’ve decided to ease up a little while focusing on increasing my vegetable intake. The tomatoes here are exceptional, and I've been enjoying them daily.

However, I have a weakness for the local pastry shops, known as Pastellaria, which offer the most delicious sweet breads and cookies. Thankfully, I’ve managed to keep my indulgences in check.

I’m curious to see whether I can maintain my weight or possibly gain a bit back. Having lost 3.5 kg in just two weeks, I feel I can afford to relax my efforts slightly.

Balancing Enjoyment and Movement

Our hotel has a gym, but I’ve only visited once so far. I've realized that my body also requires rest, and I’ve been prioritizing sleep. The key, I’ve learned, is to balance enjoyment with movement. When you allow your body to relax, you may find that weight loss becomes easier. Stress, as I’ve discovered, is a significant factor contributing to weight gain.

I’ve conducted some research on maintaining weight during a holiday. The core principles remain unchanged: eat less, move more, and relax more. By adhering to this combination, it’s possible to at least stabilize your weight.

Looking Ahead

Next week, I plan to reconnect with my 100-day challenge via YouTube, as this won’t be my only endeavor of this nature. Starting in July, I intend to launch another 100-day challenge focused on expanding my online presence and income. My previous experience in this area has already helped me attract new coaching clients and enhance team-building activities.
