The unexpected nature of this transformation startled me, and I couldn’t quite comprehend where it originated, other than perhaps from the depths of the mirror itself.

Mirrors unveil many truths. They allow us to examine our wrinkles, scrutinize our hairlines, and search for flaws in our skin. They present a current reflection overlaid with images of our past selves, merging how we remember or envision ourselves. If we look closely enough, we might even catch a glimpse of our future appearances. On a fundamental level, mirrors reflect how others perceive us in any given moment.

Our homes are filled with mirrors, highlighting our collective obsession with our own reflections. We all strive to present our best selves before stepping out into the world. The ordinary mirror transcends its role as mere furniture. You may gaze into it often, whether as a simple reflection of yourself or as a potential entryway to another universe.

However, proceed with caution; losing oneself within can lead to madness. Stare too long, and you may find yourself trapped in your own mind, where the present is now, but all you can perceive is the past.
