# Transformative Perspectives on Community Engagement and Writing

Written on

Chapter 1: A Shift in the Weather

This week, a notable change has swept through as the sun has seemingly vanished. It contrasts sharply with the previous week, where we experienced both snow and temperatures soaring to 30°C. Currently, the windows remain open, and the temperature has dropped to a refreshing 20°C, a welcome relief from the usual 32°C.

I want to express my gratitude to everyone who engaged with my recent post about Medium. Your comments, claps, and responses were astonishing. If I had to predict which article would resonate most, I wouldn't have guessed it would be that one, yet it is evidently making waves. Medium, it seems, needs to attune itself to the current climate.

Writing about my feelings has provided some relief. While it doesn’t alter the circumstances, it allows me to progress. Sometimes, that’s all one needs.

Section 1.1: Reflections on Medium

Medium has become increasingly restrictive, almost like a box that stifles creativity. The algorithm feels like the tape sealing it shut.

Subsection 1.1.1: Personal Challenges

A reflective moment on community engagement.

Despite my efforts to regain my sense of self, the complexities of moving have left me feeling apprehensive. Right now, my primary form of self-care is getting enough sleep, as everything else feels overwhelmingly daunting.

Section 1.2: A Departure from Substack

I’ve shared my thoughts on Substack before, but a recent post by Sieran Lane caught my eye. It’s crucial reading for anyone using or contemplating the platform.

This Disturbing Event Prompted My Exit from Substack for Ghost

I’m still grappling with the aftermath.

I believe that remaining silent or inactive in the face of hate and discrimination equates to endorsing it. Consequently, I can no longer support Substack. My writings will be removed from there as I take a stand against such behavior.

Chapter 2: Discovering New Voices

In lighter news, I want to draw your attention to a fantastic podcast that has become my latest obsession: The Accidental Monster. The newest episode, titled "Pen Name To Pen Pals," is out now.

I genuinely enjoy this podcast and encourage you to give it a listen. Supporting those who create inspiring content is vital to ensuring they continue their work.

Additionally, the first video titled "Worth Sharing Pt. III | Ready To Share" discusses the importance of community and sharing uplifting stories.

Let’s keep fostering spaces for positive interactions and creativity!
