Chapter 1: The Case for Shorter Books
Writing a lengthy 300-page book in a year is certainly achievable, but the real question is: would anyone actually read it?
Most likely, many readers would struggle to get through even a fraction of such a tome. So, why invest time in crafting a lengthy book?
My primary goal is to ensure that readers engage with my work. I aim to deliver valuable insights that can enhance their lives, and if they don't complete the book, they miss out on that information. This is precisely why I focus on creating shorter, impactful books.
I strive to offer content that readers can quickly absorb and implement. The last thing I want is for them to ponder and procrastinate on what they’ve learned instead of taking action. This is the key advantage of writing concise books!
In today's fast-paced world, with a constant influx of information, people are increasingly seeking shorter, more practical reads. Let's face it: many individuals are not picking up books at all these days.
I believe this trend stems from the perception that books are overly lengthy and complex, deterring readers from investing their time. So why not craft brief, valuable reads?
These shorter formats could reignite readers' enthusiasm for literature or, even better, positively impact their lives, encouraging them to explore my subsequent short works.
